AF School 3BRD was established in 1979 as a Primary School. The school was upgraded to Secondary Level in after obtaining affiliation from CBSE in 1997. The school has achieved another milestone by upgrading to Senior Secondary level in 2021 after obtaining recognition from CBSE for the same. The School is affiliated with CBSE upto 31 Mar 26. (CBSE Affiliation Code : 2680002).
Air Force School, an English medium co-educational institution, is run by Air Force Station 3 BRD Chandigarh. The school is co-educational and is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school has been established mainly for the children of Air Force Personnel including civilians. The school caters from LKG to 12th class.
The primary aim of the school is to prepare the students to face the challenges of rapidly changing world and to inculcate in them the spirit of tolerance, understanding and respect for different values and customs of our society. Our endeavour is also to develop the power of independent thinking in the students and to make them self reliant and socially useful citizens. The school lays more emphasis on self discipline than authority. The school has a commitment to innovate and to use contemporary practices.
